As a resident or home owner, you can help ensure the Mayor and City Councillors understand the importance of protecting our green, forested spaces in and around the Barrhaven community. The Cedarhill Golf & Country Club is part of a large, natural buffer adjacent to the greenbelt between Barrhaven and Nepean.
This unique green space gives residents easy, safe access to open-air recreation and community spaces, including the "The Log Farm" Farmer's Market and Sugar Shack and The Clubhouse at Cedarhill restaurant and banquet hall for weddings, exhibitions, and corporate and community social events. Our connected green spaces also offer rugged hiking and biking trails, walking and cycling paths, and sports and recreation spaces in Lytle Park for residents and people working in local business parks.
Preserving Ottawa's Greenbelt and the original neighbourhoods and community spaces connected to the Greenbelt will help the City maintain a thriving tree canopy and established habitats for the indigenous animals, local and migratory birds, and acquatic species they support.
Let the City of Ottawa and the owner of Cedarhill Golf & Country Club know its important to protect the golf course and surrounding green spaces for residents and visitors!
